Miner city clerk fired for 'acts of dishonesty'

MINER, Mo. -- Miner's city clerk was terminated Friday by the Miner Board of Aldermen in a closed executive session, the Standard Democrat reported. Stephanie Turner was fired for "severe acts of dishonesty," according to city officials. The results of an investigation into city finances by the Missouri State Highway Patrol are pending. Former city clerk Janet Tuttle is serving as temporary clerk.
