Southeast Medical Plaza Opens in Stoddard County

Southeast Medical Plaza in Dexter, Mo., opened its doors to the public with grand-opening ceremonies on Wednesday, Sept. 24, marking completion of the new, 15,000-square-foot medical office building at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County.

More than 300 people toured the medical office building, which adjoins the front of the hospital. It houses 27 examination rooms,a large procedure room, separate adult and pediatric waiting areas, digital X-ray and lab services and a conference room.

Its location adjoining the hospital also provides patients with easy access to other medical services such as rehabilitation and imaging services.

'Hub of Healthcare'

Adam Bracks, CEO of the Dexter hospital, told the crowd that Southeast Medical Plaza will serve as the "hub of healthcare" in the area.

"When SoutheastHEALTH acquired the hospital, we made a commitment to the community to build a new, state-of-the-art medical office building. We have met that promise," he said.

"There is no question, this is a magnificent building," Bracks noted. "However, there is more to this story than just brick and mortar. This is the location that you trust us to treat your child, mother and husband. We will not forget that."

Healthcare providers who will practice in the building include: internal medicine physician Reza Jalal, MD; family practice physicians Bobby Jibben, DO, D.L. Davis, MD, and J. Chad White, DO; pediatric physicians Greg Cugini, MD, and Zulekha Jalal, MD; family nurse practitioners Judy Pedigo, Laurie Jibben, Hollie Hughes and Cara Dillinger; pediatric nurse practitioner Cory Blocker and pediatric physician assistant Tory Sherman.

SoutheastHEALTH also has a number of outreach clinics at Dexter involving SoutheastHEALTH obstetricians Dianne Woolard, MD, and Chris Rosenquist, MD; oncologist Andrew Moore, MD; and cardiologists David Law, MD, Bryan Beck, MD, Steven Carr, MD, Chizor Iwuchukwu, MD, and Kenneth Retter, MD.

In addition, Southeast has operated a cardiac rehab clinic in Dexter for more than a decade.
