Many education options in Cape Girardeau

Today's workforce requires people with different skills. A college education is a great choice, and many students are now back to their campus for the start of a new academic year. But there are many educational options, including trade schools.

Careers in the medical field, business, massage therapy and cosmetology all need people with specific skills. The educational programs, in many cases, can be finished in a relatively short period of time.

A story by reporter Ruth Campbell in the Aug. 18 Southeast Missourian highlighted several of the options offered in Cape Girardeau through Metro Business College and Renaissance Beauty Academy.

Students point to the specific training and short-term duration of programs as reasons for participation. There may be students who have been displaced from their current work or want to increase their earning potential.

In addition to the aforementioned learning centers, Southeast Missouri State University, the Cape Girardeau Partnership for High Education, Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center, Southeast Hospital College of Nursing & Health Sciences and Trendsetters School of Cosmetology off countless options for education and self improvement.

It's important for thriving communities to offer a variety of education options. These facilities in Cape Girardeau, along with online programs, offer many the opportunity to gain practical skills and knowledge that can help increase their earning potential.
