Perryville students compete in music festival

Perryville High School students recently competed at the Southeast Missouri Music Festival in Cape Girardeau. The women’s ensemble, from left, Ruby Stangl, Jocelyn Erwin, Angelica Long, Emilie Tarrillion and Alicia Smith, earned a 2 rating at the District contest. Long also earned a 2 for her vocal solo. Each student or group of students is evaluated by one judge and rated on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being the highest rating possible. The women’s ensemble performed under the direction of Rebecca Sides. (Submitted by the Perry County School District)
