If you enjoy hearing writers read from their work, the Cape River Heritage Museum at 538 Independence is sponsoring such an event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 16. I'll be reading from my novel, "The Byrds of Victory," along with Bill and Sharon Hopkins, Carl Armstrong, Bonnie Stepenoff, John and Carol Fisher and Pat Nelson.

Sponsored by the Heartland Writers' Guild, it's called the Coffee House Book Signing. Having written an eBook that's only available online, I won't be able to sign it; but the others are bringing their works and will be happy to autograph them for you.

I met some of these writers at a recent meeting of the southeast chapter of the Missouri Writers' Guild, and you may be sure of spending your time profitably if you attend.
