Judge Limbaugh Sr. to be recognized at Boy Scout dinner

In some families scouting is a tradition. That was the case for the Limbaughs, and on Thursday night the Boy Scouts of America Greater St. Louis Area Council will recognize former U.S. District Judge Stephen Limbaugh Sr. at the Dr. James A. Kinder Good Scout Award Dinner.

The annual dinner is in its second year and will be held at the Plaza Conference Center by Ray's. The Dr. James A. Kinder Jr. family was recognized last year.

Frank Kinder called Limbaugh "a man of sterling character."

U.S. District Judge Steven Limbaugh, Jr., son of the honoree, told the Southeast Missourian this is a wonderful honor for his father and the entire family, which has a generational tie with the Boy Scouts.

The theme of the dinner is "Don't Judge a Hero by the Size of His Cape." A reception will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7 p.m. There is no ticket price for the dinner, but those attending will be asked to make a donation. To reserve space, call 800-392-0895.

Congratulations to Judge Steven Limbaugh Sr. and his family on this recognition. Thank you to the Boy Scouts for hosting the event.

We hope you consider attending.
