Mountain Man Living History

Jim Long will be at the Bollinger County Museum from 11am-2pm on Saturday, April 26 with Mountain Man Living History.

Mr. Long's presentation features flint lock rifles and a demonstration of flint and steel fire starting, plus other living history showing what a mountain man carried with him to survive the Rocky Mountains in the 1830s and 1840s. You'll see different styles and types of clothing, various powder horns, knives, food, bedrolls, and shelter.

The museum will be open extra hours for the Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive weekend.

Museum hours on Saturday, April 26 will be 9am-5pm and Sunday, April 27 from noon-4:30pm.

Regular Admission will apply.
