What is the biggest economic challenge facing Marble Hill? What can be done about it?

The biggest economic challenge for Marble Hill is that we do not have any major interstates or rivers that connect us to other cities. We need to find ways to promote local businesses which would increase revenues for the city. City government needs to continue to strive to communicate openly with the citizens, to understand their concerns, and to continue to take the small steps that eventually lead to big success.

What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

I have served as the Mayor since May 2013. I have worked in management with Coca-Cola for the past 7 years. From these experiences, I have gained strong leadership and communication skills. However, my dedication is what makes me best suited for this office. I sincerely want Marble Hill to prosper. I am determined to work hard to make the best long-term decisions for Marble Hill. It is the place that we call home.

What infrastructure improvements would you like to see?

I would like to see our city streets and sidewalks repaired. These improvements would enhance the image of our buildings and businesses. If we promote the success of our businesses, then we are able to raise more revenue for our city. When our businesses do better, our city does better, and our people do better. I would also like to continue our efforts to find a sustainable way to re-open our local pool.
