What is the most important issue facing the Kelly School District? What can be done about it? How Kelly plans on growing in the future without debit along with the upkeep on technology.

What in your background or education makes you qualified for this office?

I have 2 sons in the school district and I am very involved in the school system. I talk to teachers, coaches, and administration about my children.

Where do you stand on the issue of Common Core standards?

I have mixed feelings. I believe there should be a nation-wide base line for general education. But you have kids that are very advanced and some that learn slower than others. Let our teachers teach the way they need to without the government looking over their shoulder. If you mandate what they teach and how they teach it, you will have kids that fall behind and others that are very bored in class.

Do you think the Kelly School District is a good place for teachers to work? Why or why not?

Yes I do. Our teachers have the option of promotion within the school district. They get to know their students really well because it is a smaller school which helps them with their styles of teaching. Our teachers support each other with everyday duties and after school activities.
