Jackson FBLA's Sixth-Grade Career Fair

Jackson FBLA's Annual Sixth-Grade Career Fair

The Sixth-Grade Career Fair, hosted by Jackson High School FBLA, took place on January 24th at Jackson Middle School. Jackson High School FBLA prepared for the event by nominating chairpersons for the event. Then, through meticulous planning, persistency, and many hours of calling businesses, the Sixth-Grade Career Fair was ready to be carried out. On the morning of January 24th, 29 businesses and organizations arrived at Jackson Middle School to set up their individual booths. While underway, groups of 7-12 sixth-graders were rotated every five minutes amongst booths where they were informed about that career at the respective booth. Chairpersons of the event ensured that every career path was represented to provide the children with a broad overview of their options as they begin to consider their future occupations. The successful completion of the Sixth-Grade Career Fair gave nearly 400 sixth-graders insight to the many options that they will have when trying to decide their career.
