David Crowe is my hero

Years ago David Crowe and Taylor Bahn were on the Central High School wrestling team with me. I was a "mighty senior" and they were both juniors. I had had a dismal season my junior year but all that was forgotten because my senior year I had been fortunate enough to win a few matches. David and Taylor and a few other younger wrestlers looked to me as their "hero" of sorts, and I was very flattered. Being one of five boys, wrestling came easy to me except for the intense workouts and preparation.

I wish now to go on public record to attest that David Crow as it turns out has become my "hero." He is an incredible Christian man with more fight in him than many who consider themselves tough. He is one of the rare breeds who took the time and effort to make a difference. His work with autism in our home state and nationally is well documented. His most recent health issues would have stopped almost any man I know, but not Dave.

His talents are many, and his artistic capabilities within his passion for photography are not less than amazing. And his top spot as a "dad" most envious. For me the record is now set straight.

My old friend David Crowe is a "champion" in my opinion. Thank you, David, for being a real inspiration.

God bless my hero,

MITCH L. MILLER, Cape Girardeau
