Street style: Fall in style

Diana Todt

Hello Southeast Missouri! Fall is here, and it's time to tuck away the summer dresses and pull out those long sleeves and boots.

I love this time of year because by summer's end I'm not only excited to change my wardrobe, but I get to see everyone else embracing the change of season with their own take on how to fall in style.

Two Cape Girardeau women show us how it's done!

First is Ms. Diana Todt. I spotted her at the Rhodes 101 on South Kingshighway getting ready to start her day. After fixing my coffee, I literally ran over to her so she wouldn't drive off without me snapping a pic of her sophisticated yet casual ensemble.

I loved everything about her outfit for the day. Her blouse was a black-on-black polka dot design with a sheer upper bodice and sleeves, while her black slacks were also saturated with polka dots in such a subtle way you could only tell when you got up close. To add to the sophistication factor, Diana accessorized her outfit with black and silver necklaces, bracelets and a sharp belt. Her mini silver baguette bag and patent ballet flats topped off her picture-perfect look! You work it, Ms. Diana!

Samantha Rader

Next is a young lady by the name of Samantha Rader. She was spotted at West Park Mall looking ready for the changing weather. Samantha was wearing an on-trend Aztec print oversized sweater, a fun jewel-toned and silver polka dot scarf and gorgeous embellished metallic thong sandals. She smartly paired these eye-catching pieces with a simple white T-shirt and classic blue jeans. This look is age-appropriate and super chic. I would wear it in a minute! Once the weather drops, I would switch out the sandals for some cute leather booties. Nice look, Samantha. You really hit the mark!
