Redhawks to Take Shot at Attendance Record

This Friday, Sept. 27, the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks will attempt to break the volleyball home attendance record of 1,168 when they host a Eastern Illinois at 6:30 p.m. inside Houck Field House. The event, sponsored by Jimmy John's, is being billed as "Houck FILLED House" as Southeast attempts to break the record last set on Nov. 9, 1993 against Murray State; Southeast won the match, 3-1.

The first 900 Southeast students will receive a special edition t-shirt courtesy of Jimmy John's, and Southeast Missouri Recreation Services is donating bleachers to be put on the floor of Houck Field House for students. The last time bleachers were placed on the floor of Houck was the last time the record was set nearly 20 years ago.

Admission for the game is just $5 for adults and $3 for children 18 and younger. Additional t-shirts are available for sale for $10, which will also include the cost of admission.
