Shawnee Proctors CBCS Exam with 100% Pass Rate

Shawnee Community College has been a proctoring site for the National Healthcareer Association's (NHA) Billing and Coding Specialist Certification Exam (CBCS) for 3 years.

SCC has proctored the exam again for this year with exam results of a 100% pass rate. In the 3 years that SCC proctored the exam, 2 out of 3 times students passed with a 100% pass rate for our medical coding specialists who wish to obtain these credentials from the NHA.

The mission of the CBCS exam is to promote a high standard of practice among billing/coding specialists and to recognize those who are proficient in the knowledge and skills of procedure/diagnosis coding and claims submission for reimbursement.

After completion of the exam, the certificate holders are required to complete 10 CE hours every 2 years in order to maintain their credential.

Nancy Gammons, MS, CCS-P, lead instructor in the Medical Coding Specialist Program at SCC is nothing but proud and excited that these students have passed with a 100% passing rate for 2 out of 3 years. "Let's go for a fourth year in a row with a 100% passing rate!"
