HWG Considers Environmental Responsibility

HEARTLAND WRITER'S GUILD ON ENVIRONMENT

The Heartland Writer's Guild (HWG) will meet at 2pm on Sunday, August 18, 2013 in the Steck House, next door to First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Follow the signs. You may park in the church parking lot.

The group will consider the importance of incorporating environmental interest and knowledge into various kinds of writing. Jonell McNeely will lead from her experience as an Environmental Specialist working with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the EPA, and the County Health Department, and as a prolific reader. Bring writing of your own to demonstrate, or modify, to develop environmental conscience.

Persons interested in joining HWG are always welcome to attend. The purpose of the HWG is to promote and support professionalism in published and unpublished authors and aid members toward the goal of successfully marketing what they write. Membership includes a subsciption to the monthly Heartland Writer's Journal and a membership directory as well as discounts on any HWG sponsored conferences.
