10 things Jessica Richardson can't live without

Jessica Richardson, or Jessie to those who know her, isn't used to being on the other side of the camera. But the photographer of Jaden Vee Photography says she was honored to be on the cover of Flourish -- not for selfish reasons, but because it gave her a way to spotlight some of the many charitable organizations she works with and/or promotes:

> Celebrate Recovery

> Real Hope for Haiti

> Sevenly.org

> Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary

> The A21 Campaign

> Feed My Starving Children

> IJM-International Justice Mission

> International Crisis Aid

> The ALS Association

> TN-Trigeminal Neuralgia

> God's Littlest Angels (orphanage in Haiti)

> Help-Portrait

> Library for All (Digital Library for Developing Countries)

> Heartline Maternity Center in Haiti

> TWOLA - To Write Love on Her Arms (suicide prevention)

Sevenly.org is one of her favorite organizations: Each week the group sells clothing with a different design to benefit a specific not-for-profit.

"I love Sevenly," she says. "I found it on Twitter. I told a small group (in Cape) and by word of mouth" more people discovered it. "The first shirt I ordered was for malaria." She also orders shirts for her daughters, Alexis and Izzy.

Here, 10 things she can't live without:

1: First and most important, my relationship with God. To be honest, I have been on both sides of the spectrum. I have been angry with God for personal reasons and this was after having a relationship with Him, but my brother brought me out of that and I can honestly say, life is so much better and happier with God in my life. I thank Him for His grace and I'm glad I'm back.

2: My family -- we are rock solid. I have my little family -- two daughters completely opposite, Alexis and Izzy, with my husband Daniel -- but we both have huge immediate families and are thankful for that. We are all a very tight crew, or in my immediate family, as we say, tribe (we're Choctaw Indians).

3: Friends -- they are my posse. That pretty much sums it up.

4: My dog, Heidi, who is a Belgian shepherd. I love her and appreciate her even more now in the last month than ever before. Last month, we had to put my beloved English mastiff, Nala, who was almost 9, to sleep. I don't take for granted anymore just how much pets truly are a part of our lives. Needless to say, Heidi is getting lots of attention lately.

5: My tattoos -- ironically, for this subject, since they're never going away -- ha! I got my first tattoo when I was 30! It's on my wrist and it says "Espere." It means "to hope" in Haitian Creole. My second tattoo is on my foot and it reads "Soar on wings like eagles," taken from my favorite verse, Isaiah 40:31. And yes, I'd love a couple more! Ha!

6: Music. I came from a musical family, so I grew up listening to all types of music, and it is what I go to for peace. I won't even take a shower without having my music playing!

7: Chapstick. I have to have one next to my bed, in my purse, in my cars, my camera bag and in my kitchen drawers. Just talking about it, I just had to put some on now. I know -- weird, huh?

8: My camera, along with my external hard drive. Being a photographer, I really can't live without it. I would be devastated if I lost all the photos I've ever taken. My camera is replaceable, but the images are not, so it stays locked up in our fireproof safe.

9: My TV shows. I don't watch too many shows, but the ones I do range from "Pretty Little Liars" to "Criminal Minds." Yes, it's a little embarrassing to go to "Kids and teens" when I'm searching for my shows on OnDemand.

10: My husband would say my iPhone, but I think my coffee is way more important. I mean, watch out if I don't have my cup of coffee when I want it, so coffee overrules iPhone.
