City properties nominated as historic

Two Cape Girardeau properties have been nominated for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. The J. Maple and Grace Senne Wilson House at 344 N. Ellis St., and a boundary increase for the Broadway-Middle Commercial Historic District at the 400 block of Broadway are under consideration. The Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will consider nominations at 9 a.m. May 10 at its quarterly meeting in Jefferson City, Mo. If approved, the nominations will be forwarded to the Keeper of the National Register in Washington, D.C. for final approval. For more information, call 751-7858.
