Beacon Health Center $2100 Donation

Amber Brewer and Millicent Odhiambo joined forces to bring awareness to southeast Missouri for victims of sexual violence. What started as an idea soon became an event, a 5K event that raised $2100 for Beacon Health Center. The event was called Shine Light on Sexual Assault.

The 5K brought almost 200 participants together to raise money to help support the prevention, intervention, and treatment programs at Beacon Health Center for child and adult victims of sexual violence. The agency serves over 600 forensic clients per year as well as hundreds of counseling and advocacy clients. All services to sexual violence victims are free.

Amber and Millicent are hoping to make the 5K an annual event.
