Start Smart Baseball Classes in Cape

The City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a program called Start Smart Baseball, which teaches children, ages 3 to 5 years, the skills needed to eventually play organized tee ball, baseball and softball.

The Start Smart Baseball program introduces basic skills that will help children transition to future leagues, all in an environment where the children can be free of the fear of competition and injury. The program will take place on Thursdays at Arena Park from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., beginning on April 2 and ending on May 7.

Registration costs $30 for residents and $35 for non-residents and can be done by contacting the Parks and Recreation at (573) 339-6340. Registration ends April 1.
