It's not surprising that Obama is trying to play the smoke-and-mirrors game that his gun control will solve all problems. It is frightening that he shares the liberal perspective on life that everyone should have the freedom to do whatever they want like marry who they want, abort who they want, but here lies the hypocrisy when it comes to something that liberals despise, like guns. They all continue be ignorant of the fact that guns do not go into schools or theaters and kill. It takes a mentally ill person to do that horrible thing. They use terrible things that happen to further their agenda.
1. Why would a law-abiding citizen object to the wider use of background checks? Inconvenience? 2. Of what use, or to fill what need is the availability of assault rifles necessary? 3. Other than convenience, why would anyone need a magazine with more than 10 rounds in it?
I just made my annual trip to the IRS to pick up forms. I'm always amazed the IRS gives these forms out for free and people go to office stores to buy them. Why do you buy forms? Good day.
I am so proud. I agree with the analyst who said President Obama's second inaugural address was on a par with the second inaugural address of President Abraham Lincoln.
Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Some guns do nothing more than allow people to kill dozens of random people at a time with a slight movement of the index finger.

Smoke and mirrors: Well said!!
Gun questions: Any sane person won't have a problem with the background checks but this will not keep the insane from getting guns to kill with them. The mental records should be furnish by the doctors treating these people for mental illness to be included in these background checks (presently they are not).
Inaugural address: You got to be kidding.
Diss,always loved the "Fractured Fairy Tales" on Saturday morning. They should be updated for today. Far too many people believe Obama's fairy tale where blue birds sing and there's whiskey springs.
Comparing Lincoln's and Obama's speeches? Looked up the transcripts and Lincoln said a heck of a lot in about 5 minutes while Obama blathered on for 30 minutes. He sure likes to hear the sound of his own voice. Less is always more.

Inaugural address is nothing close to Lincoln's and is the most blind address put forward. When JOBs are what is needed and on more than one occasion been the focus of this President he once again loses focus. Social issues are just for elections and not for improving this country. A balances budget, or a budget period is what this country needs not political talk and rhetoric that continues to be expelled by this President.

On a Positive Note! People tend to talk when they have bad experiences. When I moved here 2 years ago I thought I would try out Sears. I was shocked by the outstanding customer service. In today's time it is RARE! I now shop at Sears first for everything. Thank you Sears for time and time again, a wonderful shopping experience.

I have owned a gun, with my parents blessing, since I was 8 o 9 years old.
I haven't ever pointed a gun at another human, in anger or in any other manner. I haven't shot up a school. I have never had a gun stolen, and let it fall into other's hands, because I am protective of and careful with them.
Do I still worry you?

I think perhaps that people may fear about not qualifying to own a gun may have to do with political reasons.
In high school, we were taught about the voting requirements of some areas where they did not allow blacks to vote without passing a test.
The story the teacher had told us dealt with a black man who had been refused the right to vote because he could not spell, if memory serves me, geography. Year after year he studied and failed to spell it. One year he finally managed to correctly spell it. So next question was, what does it mean? After some deep thought, his reply was... well boss, I guess it means I don't vote again this year.
Reasoning, I think that is what concerns some folks. We fear that the standards may be set, once approved, that Jesus Christ could not qualify.
Well it looks like Reasoning did another 'hit and run'.
Gun Question?...
1. There are already background checks in place, abide by them.
2. I would like to know what law abiding citizen has one. They are for the military.
3. Criminals don't quit being criminals after there victims shoot 10 rounds.

We all know that people will not bootleg bigger magazines, because when the government told them to quit making whiskey everyone did....... right? When the government started their war on drugs, all of the drugs went away....... right?

America: From what I heard about the poem that was read on Obama's inauguration, you should have submitted this poem to be used. See if you can rhythm a word with "truck" to be use in your next poem.

I could not stand all the slanted drama.
