Sandy relief

Thanks to the U.S. House of Representatives for finally voting in favor of the much needed relief for Hurricane Sandy victims, even though the bill was opposed by a majority of House Republicans.

Stop complaining

I'm sick and tired of reading all the complaints on the leaf pickup. Get over it already. Try mulching them with your lawn mower. Take responsibility for your own property.

School traffic

Jackson schools did not plan very well when it comes to traffic after school. For instance, Independence Road by the middle school becomes a virtual parking lot. It also doesn't help that some through traffic gets so impatient that they use the left-turn lane to pass and then cut back into the correct lane. I guess it will take a child getting hit for things to change. I hope not.

Speak Out comments

Anti-Obama Speak Out comments are so antiquated that if they are in any way representative of Republican Party thinking, then I fear the party of Lincoln is doomed to go the way of the Whig Party.

THANK YOU

I would like to say thank you to the Gentle Men who handed me a box of diapers in Schnucks parking lot on the 18th of this month. My wife and I were deeply touched by your kindness.

Everybody have a good day, spring is just around the corner not to far away.

Guess "Wheels" is sleeping in on this Holiday.

Sandy relief: Better late than never. There should be no hold ups in Congress when it comes to natural disasters.

Stop complaining: Amen, just do it and get over it.

School traffic: Is there not any police there to direct traffic. If not there needs to be.

Speak Out comments: Just like a swinging door.

58 days to Spring, that's 57 too many.

Guess "Wheels" is sleeping in on this Holiday. Or maybe he drove up to Washington for the festivities ;-)

Late fees erroneously charged on video rentals...

After much contemplation - we just set the clocks back a few years on all the process controls stuff - figuring if there were problems, others would find it first, and we'd have at least a couple-years to figure an end-around. :-)~

Nowadays, it seems Windows has a conniption fit if the date is set back prior to the last save date of the file.

Heck, rolling the clock back was how we'd get our 30-day free trial of software to last just a little bit longer.

Not much activity today. Guess alot of people are on their prayer rugs watching the abomination parades. I thought I would celebrate by driving through Cairo,Illinios and check out Obama's true vision of America.

I think I had enough strokes in to have played 36 holes instead of 18. -- Posted by Have_Wheels_Will_Travel on Mon, Jan 21, 2013, at 6:45 PM

Keep swingin' Wheels - would much rather have winds out of the South continue, than what's coming our way!

Must have really been cold in DC today. Never saw so many Democrats with their hands in their own pockets.

dab1969: How was things in Cairo today, any buildings burned while you were there? Just think Cairo was saved during the big flood and good crop producing land was flooded.
