Kennett executive to lead SEMO Board of Regents

A Kennett, Mo., bank executive has been elected as the new president of the Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents.
The university said Friday that Doyle Privett takes over effective Dec. 31. He succeeds Donald Bedell, whose term expires Jan. 1.
Privett is chief financial officer for Kennett National Bank. He was first appointed to the Board of Regents by Gov. Mel Carnahan in December 1994.
Privett received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State in 1973.
