St. Vincent girls fall

STE. GENEVIEVE -- Ste. Genevieve rolled to a 19-6 lead after one period on its way to a 54-18 girls basketball victory over St. Vincent in the second round of the Valle Catholic Tournament.

Erin Martins scored a game-high 18 points, including four 3-pointers, for Ste. Genevieve.

Casey Unterreiner topped St. Vincent (1-2) with five points. The Indians will face Crystal City on Thursday at 6 p.m.
