Thanksgiving Recipes From Mrs. Karnes First Grade

I asked my first graders what dish they would like to make for Thanksgiving dinner and here are their recipes.

Chicken

Go buy a chicken at a homemade food place. Then start by putting it in a pan. Start to boil it on medium on top of your stove. This will make it all hot. Put salt and pepper on it and next you eat it!!!!

Serves 6 people and more spices would be good with it.

Pad Thai

Get noodles at the store. Then you cook them in a pan on top of the stove. Take the pan off and put the seasoning on it. Seasoning is some kind of spice. Usually serves 4 people and goes well with sushi.

Sweet Tea

Get a cup. Pour some tea in it. Get 3 or 4 gallons of sweet. Put it in the cup and put a lid on it. Then give it to your customer. Or, buy tea at a restaurant and bring it home. Serves 1 person and goes well with meat on a stick.

Turkey

Buy a turkey at the grocery store. Take it home. Cook it for 25 seconds inside the oven at warm. Take out the turkey. Stuff the turkey with vegetables. Put some special sauce on it. Put a thermometer in the turkey to see how hot it is. Cut the turkey up. Then it's done. Serves 6 people and goes well with blue kool-aid and cornbread.

Chicken Leg

Buy the chicken leg at Wal-Mart. Go home and cook it. Put it in the oven on high for 40 minutes. Take it out and eat it. Serves 5 and goes well with apple cider.

Pumpkin Pie

Make a pie crust and get pumpkin and put it in your pie crust. Put warm milk in the pumpkin and then bake it. Bake in the oven on warmish temperature. This serves 5 or 6. Serve with whipped cream. It goes well with hot chocolate and cookies.

Turkey

Buy a turkey at the grocery store. Bake it in the oven at number 11 for 12 minutes. Stuff it with something, like celery or carrots. Then you eat it. This turkey serves maybe 10 people and goes well with corn, mashed potatoes and orange juice. And oh yeah, you can eat this turkey outside.

Cookies

At the store, buy sugar, chocolate chips, and cookie dough. At home mix everything together and put it in the oven. Bake at 30 for 20 minutes. Wait for them to finish and then take them out of the oven. Wait for them to cool off and then eat. Makes 10 cookies and goes well with milk.

Turkey

Get the turkey at the store. Put it in the oven for 8 minutes at 5 to 10 degrees. Take the turkey out of the oven and cut it up. Eat it! Serves 5 people and goes well with water.

Pizza

Make the dough with yeast and flour. Put the pizza maker to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and 6 degrees Celsius. Put the toppings on the dough- pepperoni, mushrooms, cheese and tomato sauce. Then you put it in the oven for 20 minutes and then you eat it. This pizza serves 5 and goes well with water.

Chicken Nuggets

Buy chicken nuggets at Food Giant. Put them in the oven at 30 for 5 hours. Take them out and put the temperature thing in them to see if they are ready to eat. Eat them!!! Makes enough for everybody and goes well with Mountain Dew and barbecue sauce.

Macaroni and Cheese

Buy stuff at Schnucks. Boil the water. Stir it. Put the cheese in it. Stir it. Drain the water and put more cheese in it. Stir. Put a spoon in it and eat it. Serves 3 or 4 people and goes well with water and milk.

Turkey

Buy a turkey at the turkey store. Cook it in the stove at 10 for an hour. Take it out and eat it. This serves 10 pe0ple and goes well with mashed potatoes and apple juice.

Stroganoff

Get meat from Schnucks. Get onions. Then cook it all on top of the stove at medium for 40 minutes. Eat it. This serves a lot and goes with milk.

Strawberry Pie

Get the box for the pie at Schnucks. Put strawberries in it and you cook it inside the oven at 30 for 30 minutes. Then put icing on it. Then you eat it. Serves 5 people and goes well with coffee.

Mashed Potatoes

Take some potato mix and dump it in a pot and put it on the stove. Put some salt on it and put a little bit of pepper on it. Then put butter. Mix it up. Add 2 cupfuls of water. Cook on high for half of an hour. Then take it off and it's ready. Then eat it. Serves 4 people and goes well with milk.

Eggs, Sausage, Gravy, Biscuits and Jelly

Cook the eggs on the stove on high for a long time. Cook sausage for 5 minutes. Cook the gravy. Make sure the gravy is not that hot. Cook biscuits after making the bread into hard stuff. Serves 3 people and goes well with chocolate milk and bacon.

Mashed Potatoes

First put potatoes in a pan. Then boil them in water for 45 minutes. Then get them out and mash them. Then you eat them. Serves 5 people and goes well with orange juice.

Turkey

Buy a turkey at the butcher place. Bring it home and cook it in the oven for 50 seconds at 20 degrees. If it is ready, bring it out of the oven and fill with stuffing. Then put it on the table. Then cut it up. Then you put it on a plate. Then you gather your family around. Then you eat the turkey. It is so good!!! Serves 5 people and goes well with mashed potatoes and apple cider.

Apple Pie

Get a pan for the dough. Make the filling with apples, salt and flour. Put it in the oven on 60 then bake it for 2 hours. Let it cool for 1 hour. This serves 5 people. It's great with milk.

Pumpkin Pie

Use pumpkin on the inside. Get some crusts for the ends. Put it in the microwave for 1 minute. Let it cool. Put whipped cream on top. Then you eat it. Serves 7 people and goes well with apple cider.

Chocolate Cake

Get chocolate chip cookies and chocolate chips at Wal-Mart. Mix with a spoon. Add icing. Cook it on the stove on low for 3 minutes. Eat the cake. Serves 4 people and goes well with apple juice.

HAM

BY, BLAKE (My grandma always fixes ham for Thanksgiving. We never have turkey. She even has a special knife to cut it with! It is the best!!!)

Go to the store and buy a ham. Put pepper on it. Then put it in the oven at 400 degrees for 50 minutes. Eat it! Serves 9 people and goes well with water and milk.

Pumpkin Pie

Buy eggs, dough and pumpkin at the store. Mix it all together. Put it in the oven for 2 hours at 3 degrees. Take it out and eat it!!! Serves 5 people and goes well with orange juice!

Turkey
