The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Thursday it is seeking public comment on a draft hunting plan and environmental assessment for Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge.

Once approved, the plan will provide guidance for hunting on the refuge -- which is in Alexander, Union, Johnson and Pulaski counties in Illinois -- for the next 15 years.

Hard copies of the draft can be obtained by calling Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge at 618-634-2231 or online at www.fws.gov. Comments will be accepted until Dec. 14 and can be directed to Mike Brown at Mike_Brown@fws.gov or 618-634-2231.
