The Cape Neddick Lighthouse at York, Maine is probably the most photographed lighthouse in the United States.

The most photographed lighthouse in the world is the one at Heceta Head on the Oregon coast. At least that's what they say there ;)

Portland, Maine also says their lighthouse is the most photographed. Guess we will let the coasts fight about it while we enjoy the pictures. GH

I love the one at Yaquina Head, Newport, Oregon. It has everything. Whales spouting, seals and their pups on the beach in May. One of the beaches is cobblestones, which is a sound like no other as each wave hits shore. This is also adjacent to the point where the huge concrete pier from the Japanese tsunami washed ashore earlier this year. Happy travels, I enjoy your photos!
