Not only did Tiger Cross Country Athlete Billy Leighton win the Conference Champion title last week, but the Cape Central High School senior (pictured in the third row, third from the right in the photo above) also ran the fastest 5K time in school history: 15:43. In addition, 23 of the 29 Tiger Athletes ran personal record times during the meet at Notre Dame High School. Maddy McDonald and Haley White both earned All-Conference Honors in the women's race. Pictured are, front row, left to right: Sophia Wilson, Aleksandra Aleksandrova, Emily Weisenberger, Holly Finnegan, Haley White, Bridget Trepasso and Jackie Crawford. Second row: Mallory Dickson, Maddy McDonald, Megan Saylor, Clayton Monia, Logan Wright, Aaron Rinda and Caleb Ambler. Third row: Kent Bernhardt, Vikas Rudrappa, Tim Heinsman, Ryan Begley, Alex Churchill, Billy Leighton, Riley Duncan and Jacob Haight. Back row: Coach Collin Sheridan, Reed Dickson, Ryan May, Dalton Buchanan, Austin Pittman, Hezekiah Wood, Darian Black, Rikki Aaron and Coach Mark Hahn. "These athletes have trained for many miles over many weeks. A few athletes have logged over 50 or 100 consecutive weeks of training. They have worked diligently and are certainly deserving of this recognition," said Coach Hahn.
