Macy's Pink Night Out

Head to Macy's in West Park Mall for a special shopping event from 5 to 9 p.m. A $10 ticket gets you a $10 gift card to shop that night -- and Macy's will donate another $10 to Dig For Life. Be sure to visit the cosmetics department, where there will be music, snacks and fall makeup looks. If you spend $75 there, you'll receive a limited edition Macy's Pink Night Out tote bag. Pretty In Pink 5k

The fourth annual event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is set for 8 a.m. at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Proceeds from the $30 registration fees will benefit the local American Cancer Society office, which provides resources for local men and women dealing with cancer. Packet pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the ACS office, 106 Farrar Drive, Suite 104 in Cape Girardeau. Breast Ride Ever Poker Run

Bootheel Harley Davidson's second annual poker run supports the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life in Cape Girardeau. The twist? Instead of drawing cards, you'll draw bras that have been assigned point values. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the day of the event, and all vehicles are welcome. The cost is $10 for a hand and $5 for each additional hand; the price includes a free bandanna. Stops include Schindler's Tavern in New Hamburg, Mo., Bill & Chas' in downtown Cape and Hemman Winery in Brazeau, Mo. The event wraps up at 4:30 p.m. at Bootheel, where there will be live music, barbecue, a raffle, 50/50 drawing and prizes for the best and worst hand. For more information, call 573-334-7716.

The Bold and the Beautiful Event for Breast Cancer Awareness

Concepts Styling Salon will donate 10 percent of all sales from this day to the Run-Ride for Ragan, which supports local women fighting breast cancer. The Saint Francis Auxiliary will hold a bake sale fundraiser beginning at 8 a.m. in the Fountain Lobby (entrance one). Stock up on homemade goodies while they last -- the earlier you get there, the better!

Philanthropy will donate 10 percent of the day's sales to Dig For Life. The store is on Broadway in downtown Cape Girardeau; shop from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Photos for the Strong

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Seidelman Photography will be at Abbigayle's Consignment Shop in Marble Hill, Mo., where she'll offer free mini-sessions for anyone who has or had cancer, and parents of children who died of cancer. A Simply Different Salon from Chaffee, Mo., will also be there to from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to cut hair for Locks of Love at no cost. For more information, call 573-225-4948.

Pink Moon 8K Run and Walk

The third annual Pink Moon Run and Walk starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau County Courthouse in Jackson. The event, organized by A Sister's Hope, will raise money for breast cancer research. R.E.N.E.W.

Stop by Fitness Plus at 6:30 p.m. to R.E.N.E.W. -- refresh, energize, nurture, exhale and work out. Guests will learn about breast cancer risk factors, early detection and screenings and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There will be a discussion on Breast Cancer Awareness with Dr. Olivia Aranha, a Pink Up Cape/Dig For Life presentation with Trinka Hileman, director of Womancare, plus Zumba demonstrations, wine and cheese, chair massages and socializing. Aveda promotion at Belladona Salon Spa & Boutique

For every Aveda Pink Ribbon Hand Relief purchased from Belladona, $4 will be donated to cruelty-free breast cancer research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Good through Oct. 31.

J.C. Penney

J.C. Penney salons will offer free haircuts and styles this month to breast cancer survivors, and will also donate $1 to breast cancer research for every survivor who gets styled. On the retail floor, shoppers will have the option to round their purchases up to the nearest dollar, with the extra proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

My Daddy's Cheesecake

On Mondays in October, $1 from each slice of cheesecake sold will go to breast cancer research.

Pink ribbon bagels at Panera Bread Co.

For every pink ribbon-shaped bagel sold in October, Panera will donate a portion of the proceeds to local breast cancer organizations.

T-shirts at Mousse Salon & Spa in Jackson

Mousse Salon & Spa in Jackson has "Stop Cancer in its Tracks" T-shirts for $22. For every shirt sold, $5 will go to the local American Cancer Society. The salon is also doing pink hair extensions and other specials throughout the month.
