BENTON, Mo. -- Julia Ann Vetter and Clayton William Nuelle were married May 5, 2012, at Saint Francis Xavier College Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Peter Jarret of South Bend, Ind., performed the ceremony. Eucharistic minister was Sister Theresa Westrich of St. Paul, Minn., aunt of the bride. Giftbearers were Lenny and Jane Burford of Benton, godparents of the bride.

Pianist was Sue Martin and violinist was Julie Leonhardt, both of St. Louis. Soloists were James Simmons of Benton, uncle of the bride, and Kristin Wilson of St. Louis.

Parents of the couple are Michael and Ruth Vetter of Benton, and David and Lori Nuelle of Columbia, Mo.

Maid of honor was Jamie Nichols of St. Louis. Bridesmaids were Kelly Nelson of Chicago, Erica Moore of Columbia, Sara Hussman and Cara Scherer of Cape Girardeau.

Kyle Nuelle of St. Louis was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jamey Jouret of Columbia, Brad Jolitz of Salt Lake City, Utah, John Boots and Daniel Degen of Chicago. Ushers were Jeremy Vetter, brother of the bride, Trevor Vetter, nephew of the bride, both of Benton; Brad Moore of Columbia, and Robert Standring of Detroit, Mich.

A dinner and dance reception was held at Top of the Met in downtown St. Louis.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 4 at Copia Restaurant and Wine Garden in St. Louis.

Mrs. Nuelle is a 2003 graduate of Kelly High School. She graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University in 2007 with a degree in investigative and medical science. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago in 2011. She is an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Hickman High School in Columbia. He received a degree in pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2005, and graduated from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2009. He is an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

After a wedding trip to St. John's, Antigua, the couple is residing in Columbia.
