Two Cobden residents facing drug charges

COBDEN, Ill. -- John R. Robinson, 45, and Judith R. Robinson, 46, both of Cobden were arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine production, according to a Wednesday news release by Union County, Ill., State's Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds. Both have been charged with one felony count of participation in methamphetamine production, one felony count of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials and one felony count of possession of methamphetamine manufacturing waste. The two are alleged to have engaged in the manufacture of more than 15 grams of methamphetamine in rural Union County between March and September. Both were arrested Tuesday by Union County sheriff's deputies and are being held at the Jackson County Jail in Murphysboro, Ill., on $250,000 bond.
