Annie Lou Bell, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1931, in Greenwood, Miss., to Frank and Maggie Lou Townsend. She and Samuel Bell were married April 2, 1957, in Greenwood.
Annie Lou was a member at First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau. She loved attending church and its Bible study groups, and was a mother of the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include four sons, Jimmie, Johnnie and Albert Bell and Montey King, all of Cape Girardeau; six daughters, Verbie Jackson, Shirley Bell, Annie M. Bell-Robinson (Aaron), Arleather Bell (significant other Rick Tabb), Maggie Bell (significant other Steve) and Annie Gean Bell, all of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Frank and Walter Townsend of El Dorado, Ark., Leo Townsend of East St. Louis, Ill.; three sisters, Bobby Dorn of Macomb, Ill., Ceaster Townsend (significant other Albert) of Little Rock, Ark., Cleaster Ridgel (Jack) of East St. Louis; 30 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Robert Bell; an infant son; two daughters; three brothers, J.T., O.D. and Jimmy Townsend; a sister, Rosie Wallace; and a grandchild.
Visitation will be from noon to service time Saturday at First Pentecostal Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
