No one was injured Tuesday afternoon, when a car drove through the glass entrance to Southfork Lighting, 495 Kell Farm Drive.

The unidentified driver of a Toyota Avalon was pulling into the parking lot of the business about 2:30 p.m., when the driver put her foot on the brake, but then hit the gas again, said Cape Girardeau police officer David Valentine.

The car lurched through the glass entrance. The driver refused medical treatment.

Firefighters placed a steel support under the opening and removed all the damaged glass before the car could be removed, said battalion chief Fred Vincel.
