SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston man is charged with assault and manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash July 17.
Mark Lee Jobe of Sikeston has been charged in Scott County Court with first-degree assault and involuntary manslaughter, according to a news release from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety, and failure to obey a traffic device. Jobe's bond was set at $75,000 cash only, and he remained in the Scott County Jail late
At 8:20 a.m. July 17, Sikeston police responded to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of East Malone Avenue and Ingram Road. The driver of the passenger car, Kim Maclin of Sikeston, died from injuries sustained in the collision. Jobe, the alleged driver of the truck, was released from the hospital Friday evening and subsequently arrested.
