We talked to all 14 candidates in the race for Cape Girardeau County Public Administrator to get information on their qualifications, background and priorities if elected.

I don't know any of the candidates, so this will be helpful. On paper, the administrative experience held by Sladek, Metzger, Nash and Schnurbusch are positives. I don't think being a nurse, alone, provides an adequate background. I am leaning toward the current deputy in the office, Tammy Sladek, or Julie Metzger, who has extensive managerial experience in social services for Southeast Hospital. I do wish there would be a televised forum to view all the candidates.
