The Cape Girardeau Walmart Supercenter was the location recently for a check presentation from the Walmart Foundation to the Missouri Mission of Mercy II (MoMOM). The Mission of Mercy is a large scale free dental clinic that is coming to the Show Me Center on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University on May 3 & 4, 2013. The Walmart Foundation was the first corporate sponsor to make a generous financial contribution to the Mission of Mercy II. The event follows on the success of the inaugural MoMOM hosted in 2011 in Springfield, MO. The first clinic provided free dental care to 1,856 patients valued at more than $1.1 million. The 2013 MoMOM will seek to provide that same great care to Missourians who otherwise might not be able to obtain needed dental care. The generous contribution of $45,000 to MoMOM II from Walmart is a great start. If you would like more information about MoMOM II or would like to be involved, please contact Dr. Janet Ruopp at 573-334-8884 or
