Make and model: 1968 Mercury Monterey

Owner(s): Mike Almond

Owner's hometown: Cape Girardeau

Special features:

Recreation of a 1968 Mercury Missouri State Highway Patrol Car. 428 c.i. engine, Motorola police radio, Federal control head, red lights & siren, flashlights & all equipment in the trunk as was used in 1968.

How I fell in love with my ride:

The Mercury was assigned to the Interstate Zones & quickly earned a very good reputation. They were tough & fast. Even today there are many stories told by M.S.H.P. Retirees about the Mercury Monterey, ( the BOSS ) !

Nice, very fast car.
