Juanita June Zimmer Hoffmann, 90, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 13, 1921, in Detroit, the daughter of Ludo Little and Mabel Mary Bradley Zimmer.
She married Gerard Francis Hoffmann on Jan. 2, 1943, at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Providence, R.I. He preceded her in death May 2, 2005.
A graduate of South Side High School in Rockville Centre, N.Y., "Junebug" was a loving homemaker, a hospital volunteer and county office worker for more than 30 years on Long Island, N.Y.
She is survived by sons Paul (Sandra) Hoffmann of Lancaster, N.H., and David Hoffmann of Palm Harbor, Fla.; daughters, Nancy (Jary) Reppen of Jackson and Anne Frances (Richard) Jarrett of Greeley, Colo.; grandchildren, Jennifer Hutchins of New Hampshire, Torger and Judson Reppen, both of Florida, Erika DeAlmeida of Massachusetts, and Peter and Joel Hoffmann, both of California; and great-grandchildren, Anna and Benjamin Hoffmann, Elisabeth Hutchins, Annika and Kristjana Reppen, Jenson and Mia Reppen, Max and Miles DeAlmeida.
Two sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. Pastor Bruce Ritter will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
