Wrestling back our freedom

Frederick Douglas, an escaped black slave and abolitionist wrote in the late 1800s: No matter how well intentioned, or enlightened, no one can be safely entrusted with the liberties of another.

Frederic Bastiat wrote near the mid 1800s: There is no evil greater than legislation that makes it legal for government to steal and rob from its citizens.

Of paramount importance, our Declaration of Independence in part states words to this effect: When a long train of abuses and usurpation by government makes evident its intent to rule over the people with arbitrary despotic power, then it is our right, and duty to throw off such shackles and chains of a despotic design.

Our founders and those two men mentioned above experienced life under tyranny firsthand. They well provided wise instructions and guidance to easily diagnose our current situation, and our founders prescribed a not so easy action plan to remedy it.

Can we muster the intellect and the courage to replace an evil income tax code that's effects punish and rob from the one who earns their money and gives to those who do not? Can we see our clear duty to nullify a power-grabbing political takeover ploy crafted into the design of ObamaCare? We must get busy about doing both in a prudent, peaceful, but persistent manner. We must wrestle back our freedom from these overreaching politicians and their wrongheaded policies foisted upon us under the false pretense of doing it for the good of the people!
