HOLCOMB, Mo. -- A 14-year-old student was struck by a vehicle after exiting a school bus Tuesday afternoon, the Daily Dunklin Democrat reported. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. M.L. Scoggins, about 3:30 p.m., Richard Mathews, 46, of Malden, Mo., was traveling eastbound on Highway 25, just east of Holcomb when he attempted to pass a school bus and another vehicle, driven by Houston McElwrath, 18, of Kennett, Mo., on the right side.
