Jasmine makes a difference

Jasmine French and PES Principal Jennifer Streiler

When Jasmine French, a fourth grader at Perryville Elementary School, learned that a school mate is battling leukemia, she wanted to help in some way. She created bows, purses, wallets and bouquets from printed duct tape and sold them to raise money for Haley Fulmer, a third grade student at PES. Haley wad diagnosed in November with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and receives chemotherapy treatments. Jasmine's efforts have raised $160 for Haley's medical and travel fund. Jasmine (pictured above with PES principal Jennifer Streiler) is the daughter of Jake and Melia French of Perryville and Haley is the daughter of Paul and Jennifer Fulmer.
