Pellikan is Elks Student of Month

Perryville Elks Lodge 2701 has chosen Perryville High School senior Josh Pellikan as its February 2012 Student of the Month. Pictured (from left) are Paul Turner of the Elks, Pellikan and Jeff Steffens, assistant principal at PHS as Turner presents a $500 scholarship to Pellikan. The son of Larry and Michele Pellikan, he has been a four-year member of the PHS football and weight lifting teams. He was co-captain of the football Pirates this year. He is a member of NHS and chamber choir, and has been involved with track and concert choir. He was a scholar athlete for 3 years and an All-State Academic Scholar last year. Pellikan will attend Maryville University after graduating from PHS and plans to earn a doctorate in physical therapy.
