Eureka to host bluegrass festival
EUREKA, Mo. -- The 12th annual Gene Roberts Memorial Bluegrass Festival will be held March 16 and 17 at Holiday Inn Six Flags at Eureka. The first evening's activities will include a youth talent contest, with separate contests for banjo, fiddle and other talents. The following day bluegrass shows are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Bands scheduled to perform are The Harpers, The Harmans and Open Range. Jeremy Camp to perform at Cape First
Jeremy Camp, Francesca Battistelli and Adam Cappa will be in concert at Cape First at 7 p.m. March 30. Ballet explores impact of Alzheimer's disease
"A Life Unhappening," a spoken-word ballet exploring the impact of Alzheimer's on three generations of one woman's family, will be presented at 2:30 p.m. May 13 at the Bedell Performance Hall at Southeast Missouri State University's River Campus. Tickets are available at RiverCampusEvents.com, or by calling 800-735-2966. Proceeds will benefit the St. Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
