STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- Marie S. Farris, 81, of Ste. Genevieve died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve.
She was born June 11, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve.
Marie was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 150 and VFW Auxiliary 2210.
Survivors include five children, Cheryl (Larry) Gross of Chester, Ill., Tom (Cheryl) Brace of Perryville, Mo., Mary (Dennis) Crader of Chaffee, Mo., Theresa (Dale) Doll of Fayette, Mo., Margaret (John) Kester of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Hubert Brace; second husband, Jerry Farris; a son, Henry Brace; two brothers, John and Bud Griffard; a sister, Anna Schilly; her father, Francis "Hap" Griffard; mother and stepfather, Louise Buehler and William Brumfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of Ste. Genevieve, with the Rev. Gregory Klump officiating. Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
