High school roundup: Meadow Heights girls romp past Saxony Lutheran 72-28

The Meadow Heights girls basketball team grabbed a 39-point lead by halftime as it cruised to a 72-28 victory at home Monday night against Saxony Lutheran.

Whitney Welker netted 26 points for the Panthers (19-4). Erin Bollmann added 21 points, while teammate Taylor Cureton chipped in 10 points.

The Panthers host Bismarck on Thursday.

Adrienne Eichhorn paced the Red Devils with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

Woodland will host its senior night Thursday against Charleston.
