Kathleen Theresa Marie "Katie" Domian and Mohammad Hussein Deeb Qashta were married Sept. 30, 2011, at the Sunken Garden in Oak Knoll Park in Clayton, Mo. Bishop Frederick Joseph Sansone of St. Louis performed the ceremony. Bible readings were given by Annie Domian and Greg Domian of St. Louis. Amanda Dumey of Springfield, Mo., was soloist. Music was provided by Serenade Strings quartet.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Donna Domian of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Hussein and Enshirah Qashta of Amman, Jordan.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Annie Domian. Bridesmaid was Rebecca Burns of London, England.

Kevin Domian of St. Louis was best man, and Timothy Domian of Cape Girardeau was groomsman.

The reception was held at the Artists Guild in Oak Knoll Park. Classical Latin guitar group Acoustik Element provided dinner music with featured soloists Rachel Holder of Minneapolis, Minn., and Amanda Dumey.

Mrs. Qashta is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree with honors from Miami University, and is pursuing an MBA at Washington University. She is employed at Emerson Corporate in St. Louis.

Mr. Qashta is a 2002 graduate of Kirshan High School in Amman. He operates multiple import-export businesses in the Middle East and United States, and owns stores in Jordan. He is owner and president of Qashta Enterprises, LLC.

The couple met in Amman in 2007 while Mrs. Qashta was living and working in the city. They moved to St. Louis in 2011, where they currently reside.

The couple will celebrate a second wedding party in Jordan in 2012, and take a wedding trip.
