Clarence Grubb

Clarence "Hubert" Grubb, 78, of Scott City died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 23, 1933, in Parma, Mo., to Orlie and Almeda Scruggs Grubb. He married Juanita Pearl Galloway on June 17, 1950, in Caruthersville, Mo. She preceded him in death Oct. 9, 2010.

Hubert was owner/operator of Grubb's Mobile Homes.

He is survived by a son, Sonny Grubb of Chandler, Ind.; four daughters, Diane Morrow of Scott City, Deborah Sczerby of Killeen, Texas, Renee Newman of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Angela Dawn Brown of Jackson; five brothers, Dallas Grubb of Ruskin, Fla., Harlie Grubb of Evansville, Ind., Donnie Grubb of Thebes, Ill., Ronnie Grubb of Cape Girardeau and Randy Grubb of Benton, Mo.

Also five sisters, Blanche Martin of Kennett, Mo., Linda Umfleet and Lisa Meyers of Brownwood, Mo., Brenda Davis of Chaffee, Mo., Teresa Kinnison of Dundee, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Chuck Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce, Mo.
