CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A Charleston man will face a first-degree murder charge among others for a nightclub scuffle that escalated to a fatal conclusion, the Standard Democrat reported. During a preliminary hearing held Monday at the Mississippi County Courthouse, Associate Judge T. Lynn Brown found there is probable cause and ordered Devonte Johnson, 18, bound over to appear before Circuit Court Judge David Dolan on Dec. 13. In addition to murder, the charges for the shooting death of Nicholas A. Munn, 28, of Sikeston, Mo., include armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
