McDonald's give $2,774 grant to Jr. Achievement

Junior Achievement of Southeast Missouri has received $2,774 from Ronald McDonald House Charities to support its classroom education program at Alma Schrader Elementary. Volunteers from the business community are trained to go into the classroom and teach about business, economics, entrepreneurship and work readiness. The program seeks to educate and inspire students to succeed in the global economy. Ronald McDonald House Charities supports not-for-profit children's' programs in education, health and social well-being, and cultural arts. The local chapter awarded more than $240,000 in grants to projects in the tri-state area in 2010.
