Briefly: Sikeston maintains dominance of Central football team

Sikeston senior quarterback David Foster was a perfect 8 of 8 passing for 248 yards as the Bulldogs eliminated Central from district contention with a 47-17 victory.

Foster threw three touchdown passes as the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to eight games after a season-opening loss.

Junior Kyland Gross pulled in three of Foster's passes, including a 94-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Gross, who finished with 169 yards receiving, also had a 65-yard touchdown run.

Jacob Campbell scored both touchdowns for Central, which fell 5-3 overall and 0-2 in district play.

Campbell had a 1-yard touchdown run in the first half, which ended with Sikeston leading 34-7.

The Bulldogs enacted a running clock with two touchdowns in the third quarter that increased the lead to 47-7.

Campbell added a 30-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

Beef go sky dive with bricks. Your a grown man OBESSED with this award. C ville still couldn't beat us as a team!!!! And that's what football is, a TEAM sport. No one plays to win the Carr trophy, it was fun to debate about until you have sat down completely on Fondas sack. I swear to god if he ever has a down game you will never hear the end of it. I promise you that.

I never hear of any team north of sikeston talk about the Carr, I honestly never even heard of it before last season.
