Edward Bernard

For the fourth annual Sculpture on the Green show, curator Edwin Smith invited Rosetta Whitten, Robert Friedrich, Matt Miller, Nathan Pierce and Ben Pierce to exhibit their sculptures, all of which Smith stipulated be taller than 6 feet.

The cafe and lounge joins the gallery realm with an exhibition from Andy Estes, a Cape Girardeau artist who draws influence from almost everything and thinks art should be limitless. See his drawings from 5 to 9 p.m. and enjoy the Bill Bradley Band from 6 to 8 p.m.

Black Door Gallery

The gallery will display art by Peter Chanthanakone, an artist who works with photography, graphic design and film. Visitors will see his digital art in October. Reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Eustis Studio

The newest addition to the Cape Girardeau art gallery groups will feature new paintings from Eddie Granger and new sculptures from Karen Cauvin Eustis. Reception from 5 to 9 p.m.

Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

As the arts council celebrates 50 years in operation, it also recognizes 35 years of the Dingeldein Award with an exhibit showing works from past winners of the award.

Crisp Museum, River Campus

The art gallery still has "The Floating World: Ukiyo-e Prints" with wood panel prints like those found in Japan's Edo Period. The prints come from the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. Reception from 4 to 8 p.m.

Aartful Rose

The gallery will host several works from area artists including new pieces from Charlie Kent and Jim Braun, a glass artist from Ironton, Mo. Reception from 5 to 10 p.m.

River Campus Art Gallery

Nationally recognized installation artist, Kristina Arnold filled the studio with her walk-in paintings depicting biological images as if under a microscope. Opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m.

Bilderbach Art Plaza

Aside from the galleries within the plaza, the art of Melissa Whitaker will be displayed in the outer gallery. Celtic group Quittin' Time will provide music for the night.

Gallery of Inspirations

In a new location inside the Bilderbach Art Plaza, the gallery features works by consumer artists of the Community Counseling Center.

The pottery, paintings and glass works that make up Mozaic Art Studio will be on display. The studio will have a community art project in the hallway. When finished, the gallery will donate the piece to raise money for the Safe House for Women.

Dr. Joel Ray's bridge photos and a few fall scenes will be on display as well as an encore of Jeanie Eddleman's drawings of Cape Girardeau County golf course clubhouses.

The painted Wren Art Gallery

Husband and wife photographer team Perry and Carol Guard of Cape Girardeau will show several landscapes from their travels around the country. Larry Braun will exhibit a photo collage of Southeast Missouri landmarks as the featured piece.
